17th Annual North/South Shootout The 17th annual shootout is being hosted by the Northern Ladies in 2007. The event will be held in Phoenix Arizona on September 28-30. Mark your calendar, more details will follow soon.
16th Annual North/South Shootout Western States Golf Association Women in Golf held the 16th annual North/South Shootout at the Pacific Palms Conference Resort in the City of Industry on October 6-7, 2006. The shootout was hosted this year by the Southern Ladies, with women participating from California, Nevada, Arizona and Colorado. This was the ladies' annual gathering of renewed friendships and friendly camaraderie. As usual Friday night activities included a buffet, introductions and lots of jokes from the ladies. The ladies played the Babe course at Industry Hills, located onsite at the Pacific Palms Resort. The format was ‘match play’, and there were nineteen matches between Northern Ladies and Southern Ladies. Even though the course played tough, there were some good scores posted and some close matches. However, the South did prevail this year, beating the North 11-1/2 to 7-1/2. Congratulations to the Southern Ladies!!! |
