Junior Golf

The Long Beach Pack Junior Golf program is an extension of the WSGA Junior Golf program.  Our goal is to offer youth an opportunity to develop through golf and character education. 

WSGA’s partnership with American Golf includes practice sites and playing times at local golf courses for juniors of ages 7 through 17.  Through the Southern Area of WSGA, training is provided at various courses in the Los Angeles area. 

The culmination of the juniors training is a multi-day Junior Golf Championship tournament each year.  This yearly event is rotated by the five WSGA areas and attracts more than 300 juniors each year.  The annual tournament is now called the Alan Bennett Junior Golf Championship, in honor of Alan Bennett who dedicated so much of himself to developing and promoting the junior golf program of WSGA. The 27th annual tournament will be hosted by Phoenix Arizona August 2-3, 2007.

Junior golfers, who are members of WSGA, are able to play in Long Beach Pack golf tournaments at no cost.  In order to join a parent or guardian can complete and submit the Junior Golf Membership Application.  For more details contact Frank Jenkins at 310-670-3373.
